Grade R

Grade R learners follow the CAPS curriculum in conjunction with an Individual Educational Developmental Plan (IEDP) to supplement some areas of development. This is to ensure that the correct level of support is given to each and every learner.

All our classes offer teaching in both English and Afrikaans.

In this phase we focus on behaviour modification, fine and gross motor skills and sensory integration. We aim to assist learners and create an environment in which optimal development can take place.

We offer sensory breaks and include daily visual schedules to help the learners with their perceptual planning. Our teaching approach is holistic and multisensory and managed by a multi-disciplinary team.
